The Safari 2 French easel can hold paper, board, or canvas up to thirty-nine and a half inches high, and best of all, when folded for travel, the mast of the easel serves as a wet canvas carrier. Unlike virtually all other French easels that have an exterior sliding device, this easel has an integrated internal sliding mast that sits flush with the sketch box cover. When you apply drawing or painting pressure to a panel, the surface will not wobble or teeter because the integrated mast does not stick out. With the Safari 2, you can draw as you would on a drawing table with absolutely no problems at all. Made of sanded and processed elmwood with a beautiful walnut finish, this easel features brass-plated metal hardware. Each easel includes a fully divided sketch box, rubber-tipped telescoping feet for sitting or standing while working, a sturdy handle, one 12″ × 16″ wood palette, and a linen shoulder strap. The larger height capacity comes in handy when using extra-large sketching pads, and allows you to paint up to a 28″ × 39″ or as small as 4″ x 4.” You can position the Safari 2 mast to any angle, even flat for working with watercolors.
